The Open Source Version

Alternatively, you may installation the opensource model of VMware Tools… however, I’ve observed that the legitimate gear are better for VMware Workstation’s visitor device working structures. You can test it out to look if it really works to your surroundings.

To install the tool, run the commands below:

sudo apt install open-vm-tools open-vm-tools-desktop
